Federico Palombo is the Director of Juniors at Cross Gates Athletic Club. He has been in the tennis industry for more than fifteen years, playing junior tournaments, college tennis, and coaching all levels of players.
As a junior, he won the Buenos Aires Championship, which gave him the opportunity to represent his country in the European Tennis Classic in Italy. He was runner-up of the Argentina Tennis Association Interclub, playing for Buenos Aires City Club. Also, throughout his junior tennis career, he was consistently ranked in the country.
He received a tennis scholarship to play college tennis at a NAIA school that was ranked in the top 8 of the nation. At the same time, he got his degree in Business Administration. During his college tennis career, he was runner-up in the State Doubles Championship as well as the State Singles Championship; he was the winner of the Samford Open; and he was ranked 21st in the nation in doubles and 24th in singles.
As a tennis coach, he attended three USPTA National Conventions. He worked for Mobile and Southlake Tennis Centers and Gadsden and River Crest Country Clubs in Alabama and Texas respectively. In Texas, he worked with and was mentored by two ex-players and coaches from Nick Bollettieri Tennis Academy.
